Last Saturday marked seven months since I was holding a truly tiny baby girl and getting to know her for the first time. It's been a pretty tough ride sometimes (especially for how short it has been!), but we've loved these last seven months with our little Lydee bug! Happy seven month birthday to my sweet, joyful, happy, energetic, loving, affectionate baby girl! (all of these pictures are cell phone shots, except the bath pictures at the end. feel compelled to explain the low quality of some of them. :) ) How could you not just absolutely adore this incredibly beautiful little soul?! She celebrated her seven-month birthday by beginning to cut her very first tooth! Favorite thing to chew on right now: Mommy's purse. :) My beautiful big girl. She was at the doctor here - we were waiting, of course, since that's what you do at doctor's offices - and she was being very patient, as usual. :) We went to the doctor to figure out what the little red dots are that keep popping up on her face. She scratches them, hence the band-aids. The doctors have not been helpful, by the way. Pediatrician said "I don't know - go to a dermatoligist." Dermatoligist glanced at her and said "It's eczema," and gave us THREE prescriptions for my two-year-old. :-/ I might be more inclined to believe the derm. if she had actually looked at Susannah AND if what she has looked anything like eczema, which it does not. We go back in two weeks for a follow-up, so we will see. My sister Melody bought the girls these matching dresses, and as soon as I got them home, of course, they had to be tried on and pictures had to be taken. :) First bath together! Lydia started sitting up (without constantly falling over) right after she turned 6 months. I was excited because it meant bathtime can be so much easier now - two in one! :) Both girls really seemed to enjoy bathtime together, too. Lydia spent almost the entire time splashing the water with her hands, and getting it all over her face, which would make Susannah freak out... still. And, yes, she's two years older. Lydia didn't seem bothered by it. :) Love this shot of her eyes, her always-curious look. :) |
